MEMBERS FAQ

ACCESS & LOGIN

  • To access the Member Only portal:

    1. Visit Members Login page.

      You can also find this link anytime by clicking “Member Login” in the main navigation menu.

    2. Enter the email address and password you used when you registered.

    If you’re not sure which email you used or you’ve forgotten your password, check your welcome email for login details.

  • No worries, resetting your password is easy!

    1. Click on the “Request Password” link on the login page.

    2. Follow the prompts to reset your password. A temporary password will be sent to your email.

    Once you’re logged in with the temporary password, you can go to your Profile to update it to something more secure and easier to remember.

    If you are having issues getting a temporary password Contact Us for assistance.

  • Yes. Once logged in, go to your profile settings and select the “About” tab to update your email or change your password.


ACCOUNT & MEMBERSHIP

  • To update your information:

    1. Log in to your account.

    2. Go to your Profile.

    3. Click on the “Profile” tab to edit your contact details, bio, and other personal information

    4. To change your profile image, simply click on your current image and upload a new one.

    Be sure to save your changes before leaving the page!

  • If you wish to deactivate your membership and have your account permanently deleted along with all your information, please contact us at admin@imstl.org. Administrator will securely remove your profile from the system and confirm once the process is completed.

  • Membership lasts for one year and can be renewed annually. If you choose not to continue, you can simply opt not to renew at the end of your membership term.

EVENTS & ACTIVITIES

  • Navigate to the Events Page under the member login in the main navigation. You’ll see a calendar of upcoming events.

  • Currently, event registration is handled through external platforms like WhatsApp or Eventbrite. You’ll find the registration links and instructions in the event details. We’re working on making it even easier –in the future, you’ll be able to register directly through the portal’s event page!

  • When you’re logged in and viewing the calendar:

    1. Look for the show dropdown at the top of the calendar.

    2. Select the category you’re interested in (e.g. “Education & Workshop,” “Networking & Professional Development,” etc.).

    3. The calendar will automatically update to show only event in the selected category.

  • If you’d like to see everything that’s happening in our community, It’s easy!

    1. When you’re on the calendar, look for the “Show” dropdown menu on the top of the calendar.

    2. Click the dropdown and select “Show All.”

    3. The calendar will automatically refresh to display all upcoming events, across every category.

    This is a great way to explore all your opportunities to connect, learn and engage!

  • At this time, events are not recorded. However, we’re actively working on offering events that are designed specifically for virtual access, so members who can’t attend in person will still be able to participate and stay connected.


DIRECTORY

  • Only registered members who are logged into the portal have access to the Members Directory. Your profile is only visible to other members, not the public.

    If you do not want to be visible in the directory, go to the privacy tab in your profile to make that change.

  • Go to Profile Page and click the “profile tab” to edit. Any changes you make will automatically update in the directory.

  • Yes! You can manage what other members see by going to your Privacy Settings. In this section, you can choose to:

    • Do not list yourself in the directory

    • Hide your street address or phone number

    • Disable private messaging

    Just go to the “Privacy” tab in your profile to review and update your preferences at any time. 

  • To find a specific member, use the search bar at the top of the directory page. You can search by name, location, cohort, language, and other available filters to help narrow down your results.

  • Yes! If a member has enabled messaging, you’ll see an option to send a private message from their profile. Otherwise, use the contact info or social media links they’ve shared.


COMMUNICATION & SUPPORT

  • You can connect with other members using the private messaging feature – if they have that option enabled, you can also reach out using the contact information shared in the Members Directory or through their social media links.
